So for the past week I've been riding around Santa Barbara on my friend's 2005 Kawasaki Ninja ZX6-R. Such an incredible bike, it never fails to punish me for my most trivial riding inadequacies. Unforgiving to the inexperienced squid, this Ninja puts the adrenal glands on high alert often resulting in whitening of the knuckles, perspiration, goosebumps, and lightheadedness. This machine is not for the faint of heart. Seek medical attention for erections lasting longer than the duration of a ride though the canyon.

Hoo-Ahh: A weekend with the 445th
This past weekend I was granted permission to tag along with an ARMY unit (445th out of Mountain View) during a training weekend at Fort Hunter Liggett. Despite the 3 inches of rain, we were outside for the better part of the weekend and I got some great photos of the soldiers learning new skills. Special thanks go to Staff Sergeant Hart, Staff Sergeant Shirmacher, First Sergeant Sturges, and Major Thompson.
Hopefully I'll be accompanying the 445th in May for some live fire training and change of command ceremony. More photos to come.

Vroom vroom...
I took a trip up to Buttonwillow Raceway today to photograph a track day open to all motorcycle owners. The weather was great for riding and everyone at the track was incredibly friendly. I definitely had fun shooting these guys and girls and hope to make it back soon. (The drive from SB to the racetrack was an adventure in and of itself, and I'll surely be re-visiting the roads soon)

Grand View
I was supposed to shoot motocross up at Zaca Station motocross track but that trip was a bust due to Red Bull's filming. I had a bunch of equipment with nothing to shoot so I decided to drive up East Camino Cielo. This was the result:

Sandy Bottom Weekend
So this past weekend I took a trip with my girlfriend up to Pismo Beach. I met some friends of mine and we camped on the beach, rode dirtbikes, and drank a lot of tequila. The weather was incredible for January and I ended up getting some neat photos. I'm hoping I can make it out to El Dorado, Death Valley, or The Rubicon sometime in the near future. Enjoy...
